It was a very nice Valentine’s Day.

I went to town to purchase Rick’s gifts only to find the store that I had planned to shop in was gone.

It is not longer the shop that i wanted, but a very nice mercantile that sells a HUGE amount of cooking supplies and accessories (and now that the shock has worn off, I will definitely be revisiting that store!).

Fortunately for me, there was another store just up the block that carried just what I needed.

So I got everything home and proceeded to wrap up the gifts in a nice little package that says “I Love You.”

So what do you get a guy that is a computer geek and loves playing with power tools?

You go right to the heart…

…Green Bay Packer Superbowl memorabilia, what else!

Rick & I were both born and raised in Minnesota, and after we got married I taught him all there is to know about football, particularly while we watched my favorite team, the Minnesota Vikings.

After he gains all of this wonderful knowledge, he thinks that it is only fair that since we live in Wisconsin, that he should be a Packer backer.  I have to tell you, this can be very interesting around our house during football season, but we keep it all fun.

I have to tell you that he was quite happy to get that coffee mug and hat!

So, to make it the perfect night (and being the wonderful wife that I am), I grilled steaks and potatoes on the grill for his Valentine’s Day supper, and I even made his most favorite vegetable:  corn.

Yes, it doesn’t take much to make him happy, just some Packer stuff… and corn.
