Wow, January flew by this year.  Normally it is the slowest month of the year and seems to drag on forever.  But we made it through with the normal week of bitterly cold weather, and now the days are getting longer and the temperatures will start creeping upward.

Nichole has always been a wonderful photographer, and when she lived in our house in Martell, she would send me pictures each spring of the apple trees when they would start to blossom.

I would get the email with the pictures and almost start to cry!

This is one of the things that I miss about the old homestead, and each year I bring up those pictures and get to take a trip down memory lane.

So, trying to fight the winter blahs, I figured that the this picture is a great reminder that spring is right around the corner!

When the kids come to visit, they always bring their laptops with them.  Nichole was showing Rick some pictures and we happened on a couple that I didn’t have.  One in particular:

Thor at 6 months old.  He has always been a skittish feline, and on this particular day thought that he could show his agility by running up the side of the fireplace  in the kitchen!

He soon discovered that there was one problem… he had to figure out how to get down!  After I collected my composure from the laughing fit that had ensued, I managed to get him down.  But that didn’t stop him from finding other things to get on top of… doors, refrigerators, cupboards… but I will save those for another time.
