Yes, Thor and I have conversations.

He’s actually a very intelligent cat.

Look at those eyes!  Don’t they just scream “Listen to me woman!”

Our typical conversation goes this way:

Thor:  meow

Me:  Hi sweetie

Thor:  mrar meow?

Me:  Yes, I see you

Thor:  Meow?

Me:  Well, you’re just going to have to wait a minute

Thor:  mrar mrar

Me:  Well, I’m sorry

Thor:  mrar mrar meow

Me:  Hold on

Thor:  Meow!!

Me:  Ok, ok, I’m coming!

Thor: meow mrar mrar meow mrar

Me:  Hold on

Thor: meow

All this to move his food around in his dish before he eats it.

Can you say spoiled??

Yes, I realize it’s my own fault.

But I do have to say, I enjoy our conversations, especially when he wants me to take a break from my homework to give him some lovin’.

How can you say no to that??

Well, looks like the weatherman/woman gets to keep his/her job.

Woke up to this on the deck this morning.  Around 6 inches of new snow, and we’ve had an additional 2 inches since then.

Roads still aren’t plowed, but someone certainly had to be somewhere.

And this is what’s underneath it… ice.  Left over from the previous weeks thaw.  I had forgotten that it was there.  Almost landed on my keister a couple times.

Rick wasn’t very enthused about getting the snowblower out, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

He is such a wonderful husband… he even clears my paths to the bird feeders!

As was expected, the school where I work was closed today, so what am I gonna do?

Bake cookies and work on my website, of course!

…I want to be a weatherman/girl.  Meteorologist.

What other job can you have that when  you make a mistake you don’t have to:

  1. Appologize
  2. Admit you were wrong
  3. Get fired

Yep, I’m still waiting for the big snowstorm that was supposed to hit us last night.  I even got up twice in the middle of the night last night and turned on the front porch light to see how bad it was.  Nadda.  If it was summer there would have been crickets singing their song of “nothing to look at here.”

By the radar map, it looks like it is “this” close to us, but refuses to budge.  Not that I mind not getting hit with gobs of snow, and hubby has stated that he really doesn’t want to bring out the snow blower again, but it’s the principle.

When things like this are predicted, your whole life revolves around it.  You make a mad dash to the store to buy crap that you think you need but don’t (and I didn’t leave the house today because I have all the crap I need).  You cancel any travel plans that you have (we didn’t have any).  You pray for a “snow day” from work (I have Monday’s off until July, so doesn’t affect me).

OK, so it really doesn’t matter to me this one single time whether the people on the Weather Channel were right.

But it’s still the principle of it.

Where we live, it isn’t always easy to find the products that we like.  So sometimes it is necessary to buy in bulk.

Every 2 months or so I go online to buy our potato chips.

These are no ordinary potato chips, they are Michael Season’s potato chips.

Each case contains 12 – 8 oz bags, and with shipping they are a great bargain at just $3.59 a bag!

If you have an organic food store in your area, check to see if they carry these and try them out for yourself.

Or just trust me and go to www.seasonssnacks.com and order some!  They have a great variety of chips to choose from, and you don’t have to purchase a whole case if you don’t want to.
