A Bouquet For You

Aug 212011

What, you were expecting flowers?  You can get those any time.  This is even more special.

What is better than fresh heads of dill when canning pickles.  The smell really takes me back to when I was a little girl and I would gather bunches for my Mom during canning season.

The aroma of the cucumbers in a sink full of water, getting all gussied up for their big debut in those clean, glass jars.  And thanks to an intern (and dear friend) from school, we have more than enough cukes to slice up in a variety of ways.

Yep, gotta love harvest time.

Is that your way of asking for a jar of pickles? 😉
