Nichole & I traveled down to my hometown last Friday to see some of our cousins that were traveling into town to do some work on their folk’s place (more on that this week) (Hi Julie!).

While it’s always great to get away and have some “me” time, I always dread having to come home and play catch-up on the chores that I should have done that weekend.

But this weekend was different.

Thanks to this man.ย  He knows what my normal routine is, and decided to ease my burden by doing the laundry for me.ย  And putting it away.

Not only that, he washed all the dishes he used over the weekend and put them away.

And he cleaned up the debris from the part of the twisted maple tree that finally fell over on Friday morning.ย  And he took excellent care of the furbabies.

When I got home, he was mowing the lawn.

I think I’ll keep him.

  1. Yeah ya probably should ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Yeah, a good idea I think ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. Now to be fair, the dishes were piling up, and I knew the laundry day is Saturday, and I had to use the newfangled washing machine for the first time. Still don’t know how or why to use the dishwasher. Furballs, I assume is the cats. If they are not fed for any length of time, they will not let you forget it. It took me a while to figure out why Calie was trying to drink from the dishes in the sink. Chain saw fired right up, and cut the tree up in record time. I had to get it up if I wanted to mow the lawn. Don’t forget that the canoe is all patched up painted and varnished and ready for a new ricing season. All in all, one values their “me” time, but appreciates the contributions of their better half when she is gone. Thanks darling for all you do for me. I am such a big baby….lol, spoiled baby at that……love ya!

  4. And I don’t mind spoiling you a bit ๐Ÿ˜‰
