I have a little surprise for you today.

I will not be posting any pictures that I have taken.

Instead, I will be sharing the photography talents of my daughter, Nichole.

She has been very generous with emailing me photos of the kids, landscapes and nature in general.  And the ones I’m including today really gave me the “whoa” factor.

I think you’ll see why.

You weren’t disappointed now, were you.

I was able to take out the date stamp on the first picture,  but realized that if I did it on the others, it would take away from the all-around beauty of what she captured.

This girl has a gift with the camera all right.

Thank you honey for letting me share these beautiful photos with others.

As an added bonus today in the Double Jeopardy Round *I’ll take “I Didn’t See That Coming” for $500, Alex*, she presented me with another little surprise:

She has taken after her old mum and started her own Blog.

Of Fairies and Frogs is Nichole’s venture into the Blogger world!

She’s always loved to write, and the stories and poetry that she used to churn out as a teenager would make your heart melt! So hearing this news brought a smile to my face.

But as a modern day Brady Bunch woman, she needs to decide how to spend those few precious moments of time that she has to herself.  So if there isn’t a post every day, never fear, she will surely lay some fantastic musings out there for you to enjoy as time allows.

So please, my dear friends, if you have a few moments to visit her site and give her some lovin’, I’m sure she would enjoy hearing from you.

Yesterday I had to clip Thor’s claws.

I have never had a cat whose claws grew so fast!  This is something that has to be done at least every 2 weeks or he starts clawing on the window screen.

He has a scratching pad that he uses, but it just doesn’t seem to keep them filed back enough.

To say the least, he is not a fan of this process.

So when the time comes, I have to calm him down by cradling him in my arms.  I carefully grab the nail clippers and hope for the next few minutes I will not become a chew toy.

Immediately, this becomes the scenario.

I revert to Bugs Bunny, while Thor steps into the role of Gossamer. *

This is no joke.

I move into the role and repeat the lines that Bugs uttered in this cartoon.  For some reason, this is the only way to keep him calm throughout the whole process.

I am happy to report that I was not maimed today.

Thank you once again Chuck Jones and Ted Pierce for creating this cartoon to be used in this situation.

And just to give you a little viewing pleasure, I found this:
